What to Include in a Takedown Notice

A valid DMCA takedown notice must include:

1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
3. Identification of the material to be removed, with sufficient information to locate it (URL).
4. Your contact information (name, address, telephone, email).
5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.

Counter-Notice Process

If you believe material was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to dmca@propagatehosting.com. A valid counter-notice must include:

1. Your physical or electronic signature.
2. Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal.
3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
4. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original takedown notice.

Repeat Infringers

Propagate Hosting maintains a policy of terminating accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers of intellectual property rights.
